Apr. 4th, 2005 08:24 amGrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
Got to work late today.
Ok
highrider...something for YOU to laugh at.
My truck wouldn't start!
Well, I got it to start while I was sitting in my driveway. Stupid me then drove to Tops and SHUT IT OFF. DOH! With all the rain we had over the weekend, the distributor got a tad wet. Fortunately my dad was driving out to Buffalo today, so he was still in the area. I called him up and he swung by Tops to give me a hand. He watched while I turned my truck over, and saw a pretty nice light show. Apparently I have a cracked distributor cap, so when it gets wet, it doesn't like to run very well. I know what I'm doing at lunch today!
Fortunately, I was only 10 minutes late.

Date: 2005-04-04 09:28 pm (UTC)I actually just replaced my cap & rotor in the fall as a PM @100K. Did the plugs at the same time too. Then I got stuck a few days later with a rough running truck on the thruway. Apparaently the guy didn't push one of the boots all the way on and it came loose from the plug. Guess I should have just done the job myself.
I was going to explain the AAA benefit, but Chris has already taken care of that. I use it just because it's so much easier to call one # when you have a problem and you're out of town in an area you don't know well.
