Last night was the first night of my 3rd season of bowling.
Totally new bowling center, and totally new league.

I don't know if it was a mental thing, or what, but I have set a new high for my bowling. 263 (previous high of 254)!!!

Now...the sad part...

I was well on my way to my FIRST 700. 263, 234 through the first two. Only needed a 207 for a 700.

I managed a 618...but it took all the way into the 10th frame of the 3rd game to get it. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. Stupid 121 the 3rd game!

I have mixed feelings about this.
On one hand, I was on a roll.
On the other hand, it's the first week of league. So NOT the time to be bowling like that.

The really funny thing is, this is on a 143 book average! LOL WOOHOO!! 60 pin handicap (90% of 210)!

I did figure out what I was doing wrong. I got into the bad habbit of pulling my thumb out of my ball, and not holding it completely. Less thumb=less revs. Less revs=less carry. That and I haven't gotten used to rolling a REAL spare ball. The fact that it doesn't hook kept escaping me. I need to work on that one a little more over the next few weeks.

Hiya!

I saw your post on Motorcycles, you could maybe ride your bike more of the year, if you got these nifty thermal riding clothes.

I got some BMW riding suit, and got the thermal guard liners. There's also electric gloves, and a very insulated helmet!

It is expensive for some of it, but on clear, but cold days, it lets you ride!

And with gas being a billion dollars a gallon...

Take care!

I've contemplated using my ski pants when the temp starts to drop...I'm just worried about possibly melting them on the engine.

Those would have to be some BIIIIIIG sweats. lol
My rain pants (gortex) don't do too badly. Now I just need to wear boots that cover my ankle so my ankle doesn't get cold.

Well, being in Greenland for my job, I still try and ride.

I wear a pair of the thermal lined BMW pants, and then under that, I have a section of heavy sweat pant leg that I cut off, and cut little holes and ran shoe laces through, so I can cinch up the loose end.

Kinda act like leg warmers, but mainly act to keep cold air from going up the end of the BMW pants.

I don't winterize my motorcycle, though I wheel it out of my flat twice weekly, or so, and start it up, and run it for a bit. may not go anywhere, but it gets run, and nothing gets all rusty. And it's nice and warm, because it stays in my flat all year.

The plus side of not owning one of those mega size bikes, huh?
