Aug. 11th, 2004 09:01 amI just thought I'd share my frustrations from last night with everyone here.
I'm an 'average' bowler, and right now am averaging around 180. I'll take a 500 game quite well, but usually expect 550+ (I had a bad first week, so it started me off pretty low). Well, as of right now, in my 2 years of bowling, I have 2 600 games, and am striving to hit that mark more consistently.
Last night I almost had the trifecta. 174 and 226 in the first two games. 400...I'm thinking to myself that a 600 is NOT out of the question. My 3rd game, I have a 140 in the 8th with a strike in the 9th. I think to myself, "ok...you need to strike out for the 200." First two balls...perfect strikes. I'm adding it up in my head...140+30=170, 170+20=190. I need to strike out. And...of course, NOT to my amazement....SOLID 10 pin on the 3rd ball (I did this in the 2nd game as well). 599
*pouts*
I guess, in the grand scheme of things, I can't complain. But I'm beginning to feel the pain of a bowler who bowls a 298 or 299.

The real kicker is that i needed my last ball to be a strike, and I left 1 pin (the 10 pin), and it didn't even WIGGLE (which means I was too far off with my shot). If it had at least wiggled, it could have meant that I just had bad luck.
