It's coming along.

I hurt. I hurt in places I didn't know could hurt.

I took a chunk out of my thumb when a roller bit me.

But it's coming along. Plans are to hit the house after work this week and hopefully finish up the painting before Thursday/Friday when I pick up the sander to start working on the floors.

Kitchen Before

Kitchen During
This one's going to be ongoing. Kim learned she doesn't like stripping paint. BUT, these cupboards had way too many layers of paint on them, so it's for the better.

Living room before
It was actually a deeper shade of yellow than the picture shows.

Living room after

2nd bedroom before
What you can't see very well is that the walls are actually painted paneling. FUN!

2nd bedroom almost done
It needs a 2nd coat of paint.

"Blue" room before
It's not a very good picture, but this room was a nasty shade of aqua/teal. It kind of made my eyes bleed.

Blue room after
This room needs a little bit more pain, then it'll be done.

Missed a couple spots, but should be done pretty easily

The odd thing is that most of the colors we chose to use were close to the colors that were already there, so it made painting interesting. There's a lot of spots we couldn't see we missed until the paint dried.

A bonus for us: I went around and tested all of the outlets. About 90% of the outlets in the hours are 2-prong outlets. After testing them, I found out that they're ALL grounded, so I can very easily swap out the ungrounded 2-prong outlets for grounded 3-prong outlets. YAY!

Your wood floors are *stunning*. :-)

That's just because I haven't taken pictures of the bad spots. When we're done with them in a couple weeks, THEN they'll be stunning. The high traffic areas are really beat up, and some places are worn right down to the wood.

They totally are. Mine are covered in vinyl tile which is attached to underlayment. I actually think its just tacked down and shall be easy to remove.

Don't work yourself too hard. You will soon get tired.

Just trying to get as much done before we actually move in as possible. Last weekend was painting since we didn't have the sander. We'll have the floor sander this weekend to tear through it all. Then we can seal it, and be good to go.

This house is going to be so perfect when you are done! I can't wait to see the finished product! I'm sure I'll be first right after you.
