I'm going to lose my mind.

I haven't gotten a good night's sleep in roughly a week, if not longer.

The past couple nights I just couldn't fall asleep.

Last night I laid in bed for 2 hours waiting to fall asleep while fighting something resembling leg cramps, though I don't know that they're actually cramps, as my leg muscles don't tighten up, they just hurt...in waves.

I'm probably going to stop at the store tonight to pick up some sleep aids and pass out shortly after my group meeting finishes up tonight.

when you get home from work, elevate your feet over your head for a half hour or so. sounds like blood is collecting in your legs/feet from sitting or standing for too long.

also, try to walk around at work if you sit for long periods. this is a common problem. getting a professional massage can also help, provided you go through a massage therapist and not a masseuse.

Or try some calcium tabs, or eat a banana as an evening snack. Hope you get some relief and some SLEEP.

Sleeping aids and going to bed at 9:30 helped, though it's only a short term fix.

do you drink enough water regularly?

I try to.

Generally during the week I drink a quart-sized nalgene bottle of water.

I agree with [livejournal.com profile] belleaire, a banana a day helps keep my legs feeling better. Potassium really helps with cramping. As for trouble sleeping, I know it's cliche (and not very tasty) but a glass of warm milk always does the trick for me.

I can't stand warm milk. Ice cold? Bring it on! Room temp/warm, *gag*.
