Supper sure smelled good this morning! Yes, supper this morning. YAY FOR CROCKPOTS!

I'm doing up a pork roast using a recipe that I made up. NO idea how it'll turn out (that's half the fun!). Decided to go with the crockpot since I'm meeting up with [livejournal.com profile] aphoenixrain tonight for as much billiards as we can handle, all for $5!!!.

Ingredients:
5 lb pork roast
4 potatoes, cubed
1 onion, coarsely chopped
5 bag of carrots (precut is GREAT...I'm lazy)
~4 cloves of garlic
~1/4-1/2 cup of teriyaki sauce
3-4 stalks of celery

I'm going to make a sauce for it tonight when we get home. I really have no clue how it'll turn out, so I'm just going to have it on the side rather than putting it on the whole thing.

Sauce Ingredients:
Teriyaki sauce
Brown Sugar
Ground ginger

Going to melt the sugar and cook with the teriyaki and ginger, and see how it turns out. I really have no idea what proportions to use either.

That was my thinking. Just hope it's not TOO much teriyaki.

jsut be careful with the ginger I learned in a lot of my stir fry dishes and stuff I use ginger in a little goes a long way or else it leaves a gross after taste :( I don't know how many chicken dishes I have thrown out cause I put too much ginger :(

I'd have passed on the celery, but that's only because celery is good for just one thing: it's something to hold peanut butter.

It turned out pretty well. I put too much sugar in the sauce though (no clue how much, just eyeballed it).
