Feb. 5th, 2007 10:17 amHad a good time yesterday.
Went to a Super Bowl party hosted by a guy I bowl with. Spent a few hours playing Wii sports (bowling, boxing, and golf). WOW! FUN! I just wish they didn't cost $600+! It's just as good as going to the gym and more fun!
Note to pizza delivery girl: Pizza needs to be kept FLAT, not tipped so the pizza ends up in one corner. This WILL get you in deep shit with your boss, and piss off the people you delivered to.
Man I'm sore today. I guess I really AM fat and out of shape. Though I guess ROUND is a shape...

Date: 2007-02-05 03:49 pm (UTC)And seriously...you if the controller slips out of your hand, you need to set down the bag of doritos and wash your hands, because I never once felt like it was going to slip out of my hand.

Date: 2007-02-05 03:56 pm (UTC)For example, I may have such a grip on a tennis racket that it feels that it never will fly out of my hand, however, depending on how hard / fast I swing the racket may have an affect on it flying out of my hand.
And regardless of how much your TV is, you're still gonna pay more than 600 bucks. :-P

Date: 2007-02-05 04:41 pm (UTC)The Wii costs "only" 249 (yeah right, only) and comes with the game you were playing. UNLESS you buy it secondhand market...and there is no reason for that.
I have a Wii, a 3, and JUST bought the TV to make the blue-ray (cause I have so many..lol..ok 1 now, 5th element) and PS3 worth it. I got me a 60" Sony LCD from Sam's with a stand. Never once have I felt in danger of if injuring myself, others, or my property with my Wii (with my Wiiner...that's another story..) AND if someone does get hurt with my Wii...I will not be the last one hurt that night. I did buy the non slip glove things for the controllers as well...just in case. Watching some of the Wiiner whiners videos, they are so FAKE...lol I also saw some real Wii injuries and I do feel sorry for those people. Same as I would if one got creamed in the face with a raquetball...
Wow...Maybe Wii could add to the (as you saw) many many warnings during the game to wear the wriststrap and take breaks. Maybe another one to not drink and Wii at the same time.
Remember only Wiiners get hurt playing Wii. Don't be a Wiiner Whiner...lol

Date: 2007-02-05 05:03 pm (UTC)The guy that had the party has a PS3 as well. Dropped about $700 on it (damn tax), and then dropped more for more controllers. It's sick!

Yay on the MSF! Kim's talking about taking it this year as well. I want to take the experienced course one of these years. I just have to buck up and do it.
I'm ok with waiting on the wii. I did that with my N64 (actually bought it shortly before the gamecube came out). I really like the whole activity level required by it.

Date: 2007-02-05 06:07 pm (UTC)very yay on the MSF. the only downside is the ex fiance is taking the same class that i am, but if he behaves i guess it'll be ok. i'm happy he finally decided to take it(as well as investing in health insurance, which i tried to get him to do the entire time we were together). i think Chris would like to take the advanced course, as well, but he'll probably wait on it a little longer.
i...er...just got my cube last year. LOL. i'm so behind the times it's ridiculous, but the Wii is just so much fun. we got both of my parents playing wii bowling on Giftmas, and they enjoyed themselves. :) even Chris's 90 year old grandma played it.
