Hunting season is fast approaching. I'm hoping my luck will be better this year. If is it, it's standard procedure to take pictures of the take. That being said, I've made up a quick post to potentially make a new filter for such pictures.

Yesterday, I went up Calkins Road in Pittsford and up Pittsford-Henrietta Town Line Road and I must say, there must have been a social gathering of some sort of deer because I passed about 20 of 'em and 12 of which were on the road just standing around sniffing the road before I approached.

It's been crazy lately.

I've come too close to hitting too many deer on the way home from Kim's lately that I'm going to have to start taking the Thruway and 390 home.

Sure, as long as they're pristine pictures of deceased deer.

We were taking a shortcut really late last night (well for me, 1 am is really late) around the buildings where my daughter works. She advised me to drive slower than the speed limit because the "deer crossing" signs really meant what they said. Sure enough, we rounded the corner to find about 15 of them in a big group, just to the side of the road. They looked at us like we were crazy!
