It's so sad...

Words can't describe how deep the sorrow is that I feel for this family (and all the families of lost soldiers of this war and past wars).

Words can't describe the anger and hatred I have toward our "President" (the term is used quite loosely in this case). Does this "man" (again, used quite loosely) not realize that his little plan to control the world's oil is killing thousands of innocent people just to pad his pocket? Does he NOT understand cause and effect? Does he NOT realize that every decision he makes effects MILLIONS of people? Does he not care that people's children are dieing every day because of his search for weapons of mass destruction that DON'T EXIST?!

Maybe someone should hire that kid in Indiana to blow his fucking head off. Get the asshole out of power. He doesn't know what to do with it. He doesn't know how to use it. This country is going to shit because of who we have running it. Who the fuck elected this douche bag for a 2nd term?! Who is STUPID enough to vote for him?!

It truly sickens me.

I'd be livid if I lost both my kids in a senseless war.

But to top this crap, one of the girl on my F-list, whose hubby is there, was supposed to come home next weekend. I say "supposed to", becuase they extended his stay.....by 4 months. You know, forget that he has 2 kids he hasn't seen in a year. Forget that he has a wife. El presidente must line those deep pockets he has!! Must continue with a war that shouldn't have been started to begin with.

I agree with you 100% however there are those too that have pride in their job and are eager to go over there and support the mission to them I take my hat off and salute them then you have the bunch that just want to go back to finish the job that so many others lost their life doing :(

Who's stupid enough to vote for him? Apparently a slim majority, that's who. I know a few people who, for various reasons, no longer support Bush. Hopefully enough of those types have realized the error of their ways.

He should be removed from office through any legal means necessary. I say legal as I will never publically (or even privately for that matter) say, encourage or otherwise hint at anything to do with physical harm coming to the president. That's a great way to get a not so friendly visit from the SS (Schutzstaffel Secret Service). There's precident for this. A LJ friend of a LJ friend said something really innocent, but some doucebag said it was a threat and the SS tracked her down and visited her. The stupid thing is while the SS agrees that she said nothing wrong, she still will have a FBI file and record.

As for your anger and hatred, add annoyance, displeasure, disbelief (that one man can fuck up the country so bad), and a few other words and you have my feelings as well. To say the man is inept is not completely accurate. Somewhere there is a genius. He can fuck up so bad any yet still have half the country thinking he's doing a good job. That takes a really good spin doctor or something.

I hear you. I haven't done a lot of political rants lately because a lot if this BS is beyond words. When it comes to talking with B*sh (is becoming a naughty word these days) supporters and to listen to them spew the same filth coming out of the gov't, I still feel like the proverbial little kid in the horror movies. I know I'm right in what I'm saying, and yet the B*shites ignore me. Well in the horror movies, the kid is right, the monster is there, and the adults get killed. Hopefully the remaining B*shites will get their's in the end.

My parents are starting to become disenchanted and hint that they might agree with what I have been saying for 5+ years. It's a rough subject as the Bush family are friends... NOW the compromise is that Bush must not really be in control...a concession I am more than willing to make.

I would edit your original post for those fundie Bushies who don't take losing well...as I know that the way it reads, I tend to agree with lord_jim & share his concern for your social schedule...lol

I understand what you're both saying, but the way I see it, this is my perrsonal journal and it's where I write my personal thoughts. I have done nothing wrong and if they have a problem with my sharing my opinion, than it's only showing me how shallow they really are.

I'm not defending the president here. Bush can do whatever he wants to now. He can't run for president next time around anyways.

By the way, who's choice is it when people decide to join the military? Surely they recognize the risks.
