You are ALTON BROWN, host of "Good Eats"!
Geeky and quirky, a former indie film director
turned foodie, you seek to put science to work
for you in your kitchen. You concentrate on
proper technique, and understanding why it
works. You also take pride in using your
clever wit to debunk popular (read: INCORRECT)
thought about cooking. Youre just a little bit
of a pedagogue, but thats cool, you know what
the hell youre doing.

It's best to start your day with a sprinkle of crack. I'm glad this technique is becoming mainstream.

My guess would be that it's kosher salt. ;)

I was thinking about him last night when I was throwing together a meatloaf. I wondered if he ever did a show on that. I had to use up the meat I was planning on grilling. I gave up on getting some good grilling weather.

It's just a matter of throwing on a heavier jacket, and possibly a slightly longer cook time.

Yeah. Rain sucks. It's the one bit of weather I could really live without.

The basement at the antique shop/church flooded yesterday. Fortunately only a couple inches. It went back down on its own today. The water table just got too high. I don't think there's any way to prevent it there.

We had a small puddle in the basement. Nothing too serious.
