Letter to the editor
Feb. 2nd, 2005 08:16 amI got this from the local paper...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Can anyone tell me why there are no overhead lights on the outer loop between Monroe Avenue and Winton Road? This stretch of road has no natural lighting from homes or businesses, and it is very difficult to navigate at night, especially for the elderly and those who have diminished eyesight.
Curiously, there is overhead lighting all along routes 390 and 590, but not along this part. Poor weather only adds to the potential for a major accident that is waiting to happen.
To our elected officials, I would ask that you give your immediate attention to correcting this safety hazard."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now, let me point out one section...This stretch of road has no natural lighting from homes or businesses.
I'll let you think about this for a moment...
