I went to my doc last week. I've been going every 3 months for almost a year now to keep an eye on my cholesterol and bp and all that fancy jazz. BP is slowly getting better. LDL (bad stuff) was up this last time, as was HDL (good stuff). He said this was relatively normal for this time of year, being right after the holidays and all. He thinks that my HDL being up is due to my trips to the gym. All I need to do is to get back into going again (I was up to about 3 days a week before the holidays, now I'm on to about 1). I've been having serious motivation issues lately, so I asked him to put me back on my happy pills (Wellbutrin SR-200mg, up from 150 last time). Hopefully this will get me in gear to actually go to the gym, as well as cut back on my appetite (I'm not even hungry, I just eat).

A few weeks ago, I got a wild hair up my ass and got one of my snowmobiles running. This is the one that I melted the piston in. It wasn't pretty, but it was fixable. I dropped roughly $75 into it (new piston kit-piston, rings, wrist pin-as well as a new needle cage bearing). I got the cylinder all cleaned up, and put back together. It ran! It ran REALLY well. A little TOO well. Apparently I didn't mix the gas correctly, and went 40:1 instead of 20:1 (my book gave me two mixtures. I should have played it safe). I don't know if it melted (btw, it melted a hole right down through the piston on the exhaust side, and seized into the cylinder) because of the lean mixture, or because it was running lean due to an air leak somewhere. Either way, I don't think I'm going to be fixing it any time soon. In order to fix it, I'll need to 1) get the piston OUT, 2) more than likely resleeve the cylinder because the type of cylinder does not allow for boring 3) fork out another $75 for a new piston kit. I'm really bummed about this, more about losing the money and the sled not running.

I scored on ebay yesterday. I got a slighty used tail bag for my bike. With shipping it cost me $50. To order it from Yamaha, it would cost me $100. Now all I have to do is get a tank bag (not sure what kind I want yet), and possibly some side bags.

There you have it. My random thoughts for the day.
