Bowling, that is.

The last 2 weeks, we ended up bowling the 2nd place team, as that's how the rotation worked out. The 2nd to last week we were scheduled to bowl them, then the last week was position round (1st place bowls against 2nd place, 3rd place bowls against 4th place, etc.). In the second to last week (week 31), we had a 5 pin lead. With a total of 8 possible points per week (2 points per game, and 2 points for total pins), we needed to win 6 of the possible 16 points over the course of the last two weeks. Week 31, we took 4 points, meaning we had to win 1 game the last week.

I didn't bowl the last week because of some back issues that have yet to be resolved. I didn't want to make my back any worse, and I didn't want to screw things up to hurt the team. Long story short, we ended up taking 4 more points, giving us 1st place in the league for the year. It was nice that it came down to the last week, as it made it a little more competitive, but nothing overly crazy. The 2nd place team was one of our favorites to bowl simply because they were really fun people.

It was a great season, but I'm glad it's over. Time to rest up, and deal with upcoming wedding stuff.
