Nov. 13th, 2006 09:22 amMy god my back hurts.
150 christmas trees cut and bailed in 2.5 hours.
A new record!
But lord I hate doing it. But I probably made around $20 in scout bucks*
*Scout bucks is how the troop "pays" the people that do fund raisers. The money can then be used for either summer camp or scouting related items (uniforms, camping gear, etc). It's a good way to help offset the costs of scouting.

Date: 2006-11-13 02:30 pm (UTC)We end up selling 45+ trees to the village very year that they turn around and sell so people can dedicate them to whomever they want (usually loved ones that have passed away). Selling them the trees almost gets us in the black right off the bat, so it works out pretty well. We usually only have to see 10 trees or so to break even, then it's all money in the pocket for equipment and such.
