Does anyone know where to find/how to find out what size tires fit on a rim?

I've got a set of wheels from my dad's old Dodge van that have the same lug pattern as my Ranger and I want to use those wheels for winter tires (and protect my aluminum ones from the nasty salt).

i know tirerack.com will size things to the stock wheel.

Are there tires already on the rims you want? If so, you can read the numbers off those tires. If not... I got nothin'.
