Short recap of the weekend.
Jul. 24th, 2006 11:37 amThursday night
Thursday night Kim and I were finally able to sit down and watch Pirates of the Caribbean (the first one) as I had never seen it. Good flick by the way.
Friday night
Friday night when Kim got out of work, we met up and went to see Pirates of the Caribbean II. Again, VERY good flick, though the ending is driving me NUTS! I'm now sucked in and can't wait for the 3rd one to come out NEXT SUMMER.
Saturday
Saturday I met up with
a_phoenixrain to help her look for hoking boots and to give her an idea as to what she wanted to look at/for. We wandered around the mall, grabbed a quick lunch, wandered around a little bit more, then said our good-byes. It was good to see her. It's been far too long since we've seen each other and had the time and ability to sit and talk. We had a lot of catching up to do. A lot can happen in 5 years.
I headed home and met up with Kim at my house before we headed out to my uncle's surprise party for his 60th birthday. That was fun. Shot a couple woodchucks (I'll spare you all the details and pictures).
Headed home around 7pm and just chilled. Kim left around 1am and I called it a night as I had to be up early Sunday morning.
Sunday
I met up with Ben (coworker) in Warsaw at 8am to drive down to Humphrey (google it, it's easier to understand where it is than if I told you) to pick up a motorcycle that his father-in-law was giving him. It runs. That's about the only positive to the bike. Had to sit while his wife's family did the family thing (quick birthday thing for one of his sister-in-laws), then we headed North to Hilton to drop the bike off at his Dad's house. Dropped the bike, chatted for a bit, then headed to Ben's place in Spencerport where Kim met us. Ben's wife cooked us dinner (orange chicken...it was pretty good). As we ate, we watched 40 Year Old Virgin (it was definitely a movie weekend, can you tell?). And yes, I had never seen 40yo Virgin before either.
It was a long and busy weekend. I could have used a couple more days just to catch up on my sleep and recharge a bit. Oh well. That's this coming weekend. Headed up to the islands wither Friday after work or Saturday morning. We shall see.
