Kim Update
May. 15th, 2007 09:22 pmI just got home. Boy has it been a LONG day!
I texted a few of you to let you know what's going on. Here's a further update and complete update for those of you who I don't have a number for.
Kim had her gall bladder removed this afternoon. She was wheeled away around 12:45. At 2:30, we got a call that she was done and in the recovery room and we'd be called once she was awake and in a room (or at least in a room). Around 3:30 or 4, we headed up to her room to see her.
She spent most of the afternoon in and out of consciousness as the drugs wore off.
Kim was able to eat a dinner consisting of a turkey sub, and oatmeal rasin cookies (that's all the ate from the tray). So far so good.
She's obviously sore from them poking around in her belly, but she was up an dmoving around, and even went for a walk down the hall and back.
If all goes well, I'll be bringing her home tomorrow afternoon.
